Japan Darts Festival draws 17,000 as a 15-year-old wins THE WORLD
DARTSLIVE reports more than 17,000 visitors on September 20. Its Japan stage of THE WORLD was won by a 15-year-old, while the planned second day was cancelled.
More than 17,000 people attended the Japan Darts Festival at Tokyo Big Sight on September 20, according to DARTSLIVE's October 14 event report. The tournament programme included THE WORLD 2026 STAGE 3 JAPAN, won by 15-year-old ミッチェル・ローリー.
Different routes into competition
Alongside the international field in THE WORLD, the festival hosted doubles and corporate-team competitions. A sports darts U-18 event also took place at the venue.
For DartsGo, the notable feature is the range of competitive settings within one event: an international individual tournament shared the programme with pair and workplace-team contests. That combination adds context to the attendance figure without treating every visitor as a tournament entrant.
The second day did not take place
The planned September 21 programme was cancelled because of Typhoon No. 25. The organiser's attendance report therefore concerns an event that ran for one day, rather than the originally scheduled two.
Keeping that distinction clear provides a more accurate account of the festival's scale and the competition that actually took place.
