Humphries recovers twice to beat Littler for first Premier League title
Luke Humphries won the 2025 Premier League final 11–8, recovering from 0–3 and 3–5 before pulling ahead at The O2.
Luke Humphries claimed his first Premier League title with an 11–8 victory over Luke Littler at The O2 on 29 May 2025. PDC reported that he reversed the outcome of the previous year’s final against the same opponent.
Two recoveries keep the final within reach
Humphries lost the first three legs before a 130 checkout in leg six brought the score to 3–3. Littler moved ahead again at 5–3, but missed chances in the following two legs as Humphries levelled once more.
The match therefore required more than one comeback. Restoring parity did not immediately settle the contest; Humphries had to recover a second deficit before making his own move.
Rapid legs create the lead
Legs of 11, 12 and 11 darts helped Humphries establish an 8–6 advantage. He eventually sealed the title on double ten with a 14-dart leg.
Littler finished with a 100.29 average and ten 180s. Those figures show the scoring Humphries faced, while the sequence of quick legs identifies the passage in which he gained control of the scoreline.
Matching semi-final scores
Humphries beat Nathan Aspinall 10–7 with a 105.81 average and seven 180s. Littler also won 10–7, overturning a 4–6 deficit against Gerwyn Price by taking six of the last seven legs. After both men escaped competitive semi-finals, Humphries produced the decisive recovery in the final.
