Littler wins in Sheffield as Aspinall qualifies for Play-Offs
Luke Littler won Night 16 of the 2025 Premier League, while Nathan Aspinall secured his Play-Off place.
Luke Littler won the final league night of the 2025 Premier League in Sheffield on 22 May, while Nathan Aspinall secured Play-Off qualification. PDC reported a 6–3 final win for Littler over Luke Humphries, taking him to six nightly titles and 45 league points.
Two big finishes put Littler within a leg
Littler opened with a 6–1 win against Stephen Bunting, averaging 114.37 and converting all six attempts at double. A 6–4 semi-final win over Aspinall followed.
In the final, successive 155 and 170 checkouts gave Littler a 5–2 lead. He went on to win 6–3. PDC described both his sixth nightly victory and his 45-point league total as records: his evening’s success also completed a record-setting league campaign.
Aspinall’s decisive result came earlier
Aspinall secured qualification by beating Michael van Gerwen 6–2 in their quarter-final. Littler, Humphries and Gerwyn Price had already qualified. Aspinall finished third in the league, ahead of Price.
Although he later lost to Littler, his Play-Off place was already safe. The quarter-final therefore carried a different significance from the contest for the nightly title: it delivered the outcome Aspinall needed before his evening ended.
The announced route to The O2
PDC listed Littler against Price and Humphries against Aspinall in the semi-finals at London’s The O2 on 29 May. These results and fixtures describe the position in May 2025, rather than the current Premier League schedule.
