100-year-old 林春江 lands two bulls at Miyagi senior darts event
Kahoku Shimpo reports that the event's oldest participant scored 114 in one three-dart visit and received an award recognising a standout single-visit score.
A 100-year-old player, 林春江, delivered a memorable visit at the 12th Miyagi Prefecture senior darts tournament, according to Kahoku Shimpo Online's October 19 report. The event's oldest participant competed in the division for players aged 85 and over.
Two bulls in a three-dart visit
The tournament took place at Takasago Civic Center in Sendai on October 16. Organised by the local group 広瀬川倶楽部, it attracted 104 participants and included Count Up.
On her sixth visit, 林春江 hit two bulls with three darts and scored 114. The report says she received the Bikkuri award, recognising the highest score in a single visit. The 114 was a visit score, rather than a cumulative tournament total.
Recognition for a specific achievement
For DartsGo, the story's value lies in the identifiable sporting moment as well as the player's age. Recognising one exceptional visit gives readers a concrete achievement to appreciate within an event otherwise scored across multiple visits.
